    The Hilton Brand is my choice of hotels, but I was very disappointed with this hotel. This Doubletree desperately needs updating. The carpet in the public areas and in the room was stained, sticky, and smells. The walls in the hallways are dated and damaged. The furniture in the pubic areas and room was warn, stained, and uncomfortable. The coffee machine in the room did not work and the hotel did not respond to a request to have it replaced. Wireless connection costs extra in the room. The television was outdated and could not be heard over the air conditioner. The Hilton implies that it is on the bay - but it is not. You can see the bay from the top floor, but it is a mile away from the hotel and cannot be seen from most floors. It is within walking distance of the subway system making travel to the city convenient. We did not feel unsafe walking to the subway station. There are no restaurants close to the hotel. You will need a cab or take the subway for restaurants. Hilton needs to clean this hotel up or remove it from their system for it falls well below their standards. I suggest staying in Braintree or Quincy and forget this hotel. I would not stay again unless it has been cleaned up.

    Being from Boston I had always wanted to stay at the Doubletree Hotel in Dorchester. Never again. First of all I did not know that you had to request a room with a Tub, Second there was a crack in the sink which I complained about. There were never any trash liners in the trash cans. My reservation was for 6 nights. A family emergency came up which meant I had to spend an extra night, I would expect the courtesy of being given an extra night at the same rate that I had but that was not to be. They put a hold on your credit card when you check in for incidences that you may use.like their phone or the website I guess. Also the hold is for the 10.00 a night parking fee that they charge. I think that the money they charge for a room, they should update the furniture in the room also clean the carpets. I would never ever stay there again. Like I said I lived in Massachusetts for over 40 years. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

    Was recommended this hotel by a place that I was interviewing at. HORRIBLE place! Would never recommend this to anyone! There were a lot of employees standing around at the front desk, but no one was assisting hotel visitors. I had multiple issues with my stay: wallpaper peeling from walls in bathroom, lightbulbs missing from lamps, torn bedskirts, broken ice machine, the hotel employees told me that shuttle service was every fifteen minutes before I arrived- not true. FYI, queen bed is more like a full size.The hallway noise was so loud, I could not sleep before my interview. Tried to complain when I left, same problem, lots of people talking behind desk, lots of people waiting for service. Customer service is even worse if you try to complain. Don't waste your time with this one, pay the extra money to go somewhere else and save yourself the headache of this dismal, dismal place.
