I stay in La Quinta hotels frequently because they are very dog friendly. But, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a La Quinta. The soda machines were both broken and or empty. Only one of the ice machines worked. The laundry detergent machine was broken. The towel rack in my room was falling off the wall and the wallpaper patches around it in the bathroom were peeling from the wall.

This hotel was very nice. The beds were super comfortable, we all got the best nights sleep ever at a hotel. I checked the brand of the bed so that I could get one for home. It was quiet and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was really good including waffles, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, hard boiled eggs, oj, hot chocolate, etc. Free parking is very hard to find at Boston hotels. The parking lot seemed safe and well lit (we arrived at 10 p.m.) and there was plenty of open spots. The bathroom was very clean. The hotel location is excellant for driving into Boston, just off of I-93. Just a few minutes from the city.

Room not vaccumed, missing coffee maker & coffee, unable to get in room many times due to faulty lock, missing bathroom ceiling tile, many unremoved stains on carpet, missing desk lamp, toilet not working properly, only warm water in shower, seedy location. Only saving grace was that the staff were very apologic and tried their best to remedy the situation.

Clean hotel, great continental breakfast (including hot items, daily!), Dunkin Donuts and K-Mart across the street, and free shuttle to the subway station. The only problem with the shuttle, is that it only left once an hour. It was easier to walk the 15-minutes from the hotel to the Sullivan Square subway stop (only a few stops to downtown) than wait for shuttle. The hotel staff was pretty great, except their shuttle drivers gave us a bit of grief by running late on occasion. Instead of driving, I recommend saving some money by taking advantage of the shuttle / close proximity to the subway station. A 7-day unlimited use pass (ferry, subway, and bus) was only $15 US, and we definitely got great use out of it! The internet service service in their Business Center was pretty slow, but it was free, and beggars can't be choosers!
